Steve Pops the Question in a New Justice Society: World War II Clip

For nearly 80 years, Wonder Woman has only had eyes for Steve Trevor. But in Justice Society: World War II, marriage isn’t in the cards just yet. Warner Bros. has just released a new clip from the upcoming animated film where Steve asks the Amazon warrior to take their relationship to the next level. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get the answer he’s hoping for.

The lighthearted scene shows Steve, dressed in his military uniform, proposing to Diana with a diamond ring. As if this wasn’t enough pressure already, her Justice Society teammates are looking on. Also in attendance is Barry Allen, the modern-day Flash who can’t believe what he’s seeing. However, Barry becomes even more confused when Diana swiftly rejects Steve’s proposal and everyone else barely reacts. Luckily, the soldier isn’t a stranger to rejection at this point. Jay Garrick tells Barry that Steve asks Diana to marry him every day and she always says no. But according to Steve himself, the possibility that she might change her mind one day “makes every other day just worth it.”

The film also features the voices of Omid Abtahi (Hawkman), Elysia Rotaru (Black Canary), Matthew Mercer (Hourman), and Armen Taylor (Jay Garrick).
