Chris Pratt Leads the Last Resistance in The Tomorrow War Teaser

Amazon just debuted the first teaser for The Tomorrow War. The upcoming sci-fi movie will pit high school teacher Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) against an alien invasion. The plot sees humans traveling back in time to enroll new fighters in the battle for freedom. Just yesterday, the producers revealed the first look at the protagonist and the cast. Now, fans can see that the situation is far worse than teased in those first photos. The video also features a too-brief glimpse of the menacing aliens putting the survival of humankind, in danger. A full trailer is expected to debut soon.

According to the synopsis, “in The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.”

Besides Pratt, The Tomorrow War cast sees Yvonne Strahovski and J.K. Simmons alongside Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Theo Von, Jasmine Matthews, as well as Keith Powers and Mary Lynn Rajskub. Additionally, Edwin Hodge, Mike Mitchell, Seychelle Gabriel, Alan Trong, and Chibuikem Uche also have roles in the film.

The Tomorrow War will debut on July 2 on Amazon Prime.
