It appears that director David F. Sandberg has taken destiny into his hands. Recently, the Shazam! director has taken up to his socials to “leak” the first look at the suits from the upcoming Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Sandberg joked that he didn’t know how much they can keep it a secret, so he wanted to share the new suits for the titular hero and the rest of his superpowered family with the world. It appears that the new costumes are a bit darker than the ones fans saw in the first movie. They also appear to be more “realistic” and less pastel-colored. But more importantly, it seems that one of the characters has undergone a significant change. The role of the adult Mary Bromfield, a.k.a. Mary Marvel, will be portrayed by Grace Fulton, who originally only played the younger version of Billy Batson’s adopted sister. In the first movie, the adult counterpart was played by Michelle Borth.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters on June 2, 2023.
