It appears that things might be a bit complicated on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set. The recent and sudden demise of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman in 2020 left everyone in despair. Knowing that replacing Boseman would be impossible, Marvel Studios had to change all plans for the upcoming sequel. And it appears that the new direction isn’t very clear yet. According to actress Angela Bassett, the script has already changed five times, and it will likely change again.
“I don’t know what it’s going to look like at all,” Bassett said while talking with ET. “There have been about five incarnations of the script and I hear another one’s coming.”

The actress then added that she believes director Ryan Coogler and writer Joe Robert Cole are doing their best to honor the memory of the beloved late superstar.
“Of course, with our dear king going on to glory, a lot of things had to be shifted and changed, so thankfully, Ryan and Joe Robert Cole, they’re just such masterful storytellers that they’ve found a way into this world and hopefully it will be satisfying, I think, for the fans and it will be honorable of our Chad. We love our king.”
According to Marvel’s plans, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will debut on July 8, 2022.
