As of today, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 2 is officially available to own on digital. But for those who prefer physical media, Warner Bros. Animation has premiered yet another clip from the film to whet fans’ appetites ahead of its Blu-ray release next month.
Anyone who has read Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s original graphic novel knows the latter half of The Long Halloween pays special attention to Harvey Dent’s descent into madness and subsequent rebirth as Two-Face. Following his disfigurement, Harvey escapes from the hospital and hides out in the sewers. There, he meets Solomon Grundy, who recites the first two lines of the nursery rhyme that gave him his name. Check it out for yourself below.

The clip adapts the characters’ meeting almost to the letter, with Harvey finishing the poem for him. But when Grundy begins the rhyme anew, it prompts Harvey to view his present situation in a fresh light. He questions whether it’s possible for a man to live a second life. And before long, he rips his bandages off, embracing his new identity as Gotham’s latest threat.
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 2 hits Blu-ray on August 10.
