Next year, Ben Affleck will reprise his role as Batman in The Flash for the first time since returning for additional scenes in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. However, Affleck’s last extended stint under the cowl was during Justice League‘s infamously difficult shoot. In a new interview with Variety, Affleck indicated that his time filming The Flash was in stark contrast to his earlier experience.
“It was a really nice way to revisit that as the prior experience had been difficult,” said Affleck.“This was really lovely. Really fun…I had a great time.”
“I’m probably under some gag order that I’m not even aware that I probably just violated and I’m now going to be sued,” joked Affleck. “I love Ezra [Miller] and I had a chance to see Jason [Momoa], who’s over there making [Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom].”

Regardless, it’s unclear how big of a role that Affleck will have in the film. The movie follows Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen/Flash as he enters the multiverse in an attempt to change his past. Michael Keaton will also reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman from the Tim Burton Batman movies. Additionally, Sasha Calle will portray Supergirl in the film.
The Flash will hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
