Kingo Gets His Bollywood Groove On in a New Eternals Clip

While many of the Eternals chose to spend the last few centuries in solitude, Kingo instead chose a life of stardom. During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Kumail Nanjiani shared a brand new clip from Marvel Studios’ latest film. And it shows us how his character has been biding his time. You can check it out for yourself below.

Some Marvel fans did a double take when it was announced that Nanjiani had a role in Eternals, given his usual penchant for comedy. But early previews for the film suggest that he’s more than up to the task of playing a superhero. Judging by this new clip, he managed to bring some of his trademark comedic wit to his performance. As Ikaris, Sersi, and Sprite begin their global trek to get their band of immortal warriors back together, they find Kingo in India, where he seems to have made a pretty decent living as a successful (if slightly big-headed) Bollywood actor. Ironically, he’s also in production on a new film called Legend of Ikaris, in which he plays Ikaris himself.

Unfortunately, the characters don’t have a lot of time to catch up. Because as Ikaris explains, the Deviants have resurfaced, and humanity needs the Eternals now more than ever. Kingo is noticeably unsettled by the mention of the Deviants. But it’s not clear if he’s more worried about the fight that lies ahead or the fact that he has to leave his filmmaking career behind.

Eternals hits theaters this Friday, November 5.
