Ghostbusters: Afterlife looks like it’s going to feature plenty of fun callbacks to the original 1984 movie. And while some early reviews peg this as a weakness, it’s undeniably cool to see Terror Dogs come to life using modern animatronics and CGI. We already knew that at least one of these four-legged beasts will appear in Afterlife thanks to the film’s trailers. However, a new clip (via PlayStation) reveals the creature’s full encounter with Paul Rudd’s Mr. Grooberson. You can check it out for yourself below.
The first Ghostbusters memorably introduced two Terror Dogs named Zuul and Vinz Clortho who served Gozer the Gozerian and also possessed Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) and Louis Tully (Rick Moranis). It’s still not clear if Gozer is returning to seek vengeance on Earth following his defeat in the original film. But even if the shape-shifting god of destruction is out of the picture, the presence of one of his minions doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. And this is something Grooberson learns the hard way when he happens upon the creature during a trip to Walmart.

After unwittingly getting its attention, Grooberson runs for his life as the dog gives chase, knocking down several clothing racks along the way. He eventually makes it to his car, which, for some reason, has already had its windshield blown out. But just when we think he’s in the clear, the dog catches up to him before he can escape. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until the film hits theaters to find out if he suffers the same fate as Dana and Louis.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife hits theaters on November 19.
