The Matrix Resurrections Character Posters Highlight New and Familiar Faces

Next month, The Matrix Resurrections will bring Neo and Trinity back to movie theaters and presumably reveal how they survived the events of The Matrix Revolutions almost 20 years ago. However, the next chapter in the Matrix saga will also introduce several new heroes and villains along the way, many of whom remain shrouded in mystery. But this isn’t stopping Warner Bros. from releasing new posters that feature some of these new characters. You can check them out for yourself in the gallery below. Matrix Resurrections character

Leading the pack are original Matrix trilogy stars Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), both sporting their usual sunglasses-and-duster combos. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s revamped Morpheus also gets his own poster as well. The remaining posters highlight a few of the new faces that viewers will meet when Resurrections premieres in December. Among these is Jessica Henwick’s Bugs, whose blue-hair and tinted shades makes the former Iron Fist actress virtually unrecognizable.

The other characters’ identities are still unknown, but they will be hitting theaters in style. Neil Patrick Harris’ unnamed therapist (previously teased in the sequel’s trailer) appears sitting in a chair. Additionally, Eréndira Ibarra wields her own set of pistols, hinting that she will be a key ally to Neo and Trinity. Finally, we get a new glimpse at Jonathan Groff’s mysterious character, who certainly looks as though he’s playing one of the Agents in the film.

The Matrix Resurrections will hit theaters and HBO Max on December 22.
