Listen To the First Track From Michael Giacchino’s The Batman Soundtrack

It’s been almost ten years since the last Batman solo movie hit theaters. But in under two months, The Batman is ushering in a new era with Robert Pattinson in the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Director Matt Reeves is taking his own approach to Batman’s early years, and that includes a new take on the Dark Knight’s musical repertoire. Danny Elfman, Shirley Walker, Hans Zimmer, and James Newton Howard are among the composers who have previously given Gotham City its musical flavor. But now it’s time for composer Michael Giacchino to share his take on the franchise. Batman soundtrack.

Via Twitter, Reeves posted the first track from The Batman‘s score, and shared the memory of the first time he heard it.

The 6:47 minute theme can be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes Store, Deezer, and Tidal. However, you don’t have to click on any links to hear it. It’s also on YouTube, which means you can listen to it in the video below.

Giacchino’s previous scores include The Incredibles, the 2009 Star Trek reboot, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He is also one of the few composers to have worked on both Spider-Man and Batman movies, having composed the music for all three of the MCU Spider-Man films.

The Batman will hit theaters on March 4.
