Wile E. Coyote is building his legal team. According to Deadline, Will Forte and Lana Condor have joined the cast of Warner Bros. upcoming Coyote vs. Acme film, which finds the iconic Looney Tunes character suing the ACME Corporation over their faulty gadgets and gizmos.
Fed up with his ill-fated attempts to catch the Roadunner, Wile E. finally decides to sue the company that supplies him with all of his traps and weapons. With this, he enlists a human lawyer to represent him in court. Unfortunately, the lawyer’s “intimidating” former boss (played by John Cena) is representing ACME in the case. But a “growing friendship between man and cartoon” makes them all the more driven to win. Forte is playing the Coyote’s lawyer in the film. However, Condor’s role is still a mystery.
Most recently, Forte starred in Peacock’s MacGruber, a continuation of the 2010 film that was itself based on Forte’s long-running Saturday Night Live sketch. He also had a recurring role in Netflix’s Sweet Tooth adaptation. Condor previously appeared as Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse and is a regular in Netflix’s To All the Boys franchise.

Dave Green is directing Coyote vs. Acme from a screenplay by Samy Burch, who based the story on Ian Frazier’s 1990 humor article of the same name. Just like last year’s Space Jam: A New Legacy, the film will utilize a mix of live-action and CGI animation. Chris DeFaria and James Gunn will produce.
Coyote vs. Acme will hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
