It took the better part of six years for a sequel to Doctor Strange to arrive in theaters. But thanks to Benedict Cumberbatch’s appearances as Strange in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange has never been more popular. Now that the Doctor Strange sequel has been out for a few days, we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! This post is a place for all of you to leave your own reviews, thoughts, or anything else you want to say about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Marvel didn’t do a great job of keeping the cameos quiet this time, especially since three of the returning performers were featured in trailers. Regardless, there were some genuine surprises, including the apparent reveal of a major star who will likely appear in Doctor Strange 3 down the road.

The one thing that Marvel really hid well was the identity of the villain of the film. Almost all of the trailers were cut in a way to place that character in a sympathetic light. And the while ending of the movie might look bleak for that character, keep this rule of fiction in mind: If there’s no body, they’re usually not dead.
It’s also been interesting to see some industry observers cite the film’s B+ CinemaScore as if it’s some kind of failure. Most of the previous Marvel Studios had an A- CinemaScore or higher. Director Sam Raimi’s take on the MCU does have its detractors, but the film opened bigger than The Batman. That would never happen in the comic book realm, but the MCU remains largely undefeated. This also proves that the quick collapse of Morbius didn’t damage the Marvel brand. The general public appears to fully realize that Sony’s Spider-Man-adjacent films are not a part of the MCU. That’s good news for Marvel, less so for Sony.
