Old Friends Reunite in Two New Jurassic World: Dominion Clips

In just a few weeks, Jurassic World: Dominion will bring two generations of Jurassic Park stars together for an action-packed sequel. Ahead of the film’s premiere, Universal is offering an early glimpse at the original cast’s long-awaited return. The studio has premiered two new clips from the upcoming film that highlight old and new cast members alike. You can check out both scenes below.

The first clip shows Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) together at a dig site, mirroring their very first scene in the original Jurassic Park. Although they were an item in the first film, their conversation indicates that it’s been years since they last saw each other. Jurassic Park III established that Ellie was married with two children. But now, her kids are grown and she’s divorced, something Alan is very sorry to hear about (yeah, right…).

Meanwhile, the second clip appears to take place much later in the film. By this point, Alan and Ellie have reunited with Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm and met up with Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard). Since dinosaurs are now roaming free all over the world, it’s hard to pinpoint their exact location. Regardless, the clip features another fun callback to the original Jurassic Park trilogy. When their group comes face to face with a Gigantosaurus, both Alan and Owen tell everyone not to move. But because it’s a Jurassic World movie, this is most likely just a prelude to the inevitable chase scene.
