Remember those awesome screen tests for The Goon movie that came out a while ago? Man, they were great weren’t they? That was at Comic-Con two years ago and there has been even less momentum on the movie since then.
There was a time when fans were clamoring for the film so bad that they pestered creator Eric Powell about putting the film up on Kickstarter so that it COULD get made. Powell quickly shot down the idea, saying that the budget of the film was around $45 million and that the most succesful Kickstarter project to date had been $10 million. Well, color us surprised that Powell just tweeted the image below.
Is it really going to happen? Was the number he threw out there a clever ruse, or is all of this a practical joke on the fans? Time will tell.
