Xbox360Achievements have gotten their hands on a demo of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and have revealed some of the game’s details as well as some new images, which you can see below.
First, they reveal that the Turtles will use the sewer as their main menu between missions. Players will be able to “train in the dojo, access side missions and the challenge mode,” as well as unlock “secret retro arcade games.” Furthermore they revealed some of the weapons upgrades that are possible for each of the turtles. Leonardo is capable of unlocking a boomerang; Raphael will receive a pair of “iron fists” in order to “complement his close-quarters toughness;” Michaelangelo will gain retractible blades in the ends of his nunchucks; and Donatello will be able to unlock an unnamed secondary weapon.
The game also offers a a “skill tree” for each of the turles that can be upgraded in any way the player chooses, featuring the categories of health, damage, toughness and speed. The game will be broken up into seven playable areas around New York City including a robot factory, the sewers and the streets.
Described as having a “hyper-realistic 3D-style,” “true-to-life” environments and a combo-driven battle system, “Out of the Shadows” will feature up to four player co-op with each of the turtles being playable. The game is being developed by Red Fly Studio, which created Thor: God of Thunder and the Wii-ports of Ghostbusters the Video Game and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on June 26.
