The site stresses that these are still early talks and none of them could in fact come to pass, but the discussions have at least occurred regarding the live-action world of Sandman.
Gordon has been linked to a number of comic book inspired roles, having appeared in The Dark Knight Rises, the upcoming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and being previously rumored for Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy and Dr. Strange.

Sandman, which launched DC Comic’s Vertigo imprint, ran for 75 issues beginning in 1989. Gaiman’s worlds-within-worlds weaved an episodic anthology, focusing on the allegorical character of Dream and his brothers and sisters, known as the Endless (Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium, Destruction and Destiny).
