Mad Max: Fury Road Reportedly Testing ‘Extremely Well,’ Mel Gibson Won’t Cameo

“Our film, luckily after a ridiculous amount of work, is testing extremely well,” Miller said. ”We’re very happy. There has been a lot of doubt about it, [people saying] ‘it took so long’, but Warners have delayed it until 2015 to go into the top weekend of the year.”

The site also reports that Warner Bros. pushed the film to 2015 so as not to compete against the “World Cup” in 2014 in international markets.

Miller also commented on the rumor that Mel Gibson, the original “Mad Max,” will cameo in the film saying: ‘‘It would have been nice somehow but, no, it’s not true.”

Starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and many more, the film is directed by Miller, who has directed every “Mad Max film, from a screenplay by himself, Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Mad Max: Fury Road will open in 2D and 3D theaters on May 15, 2015.
