It was revealed late last week that James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy is, in North America, heading to DVD and Blu-ray on December 9. In the UK, however, the film will be hitting two weeks earlier on November 24 and online retailer Zavvi has today posted a look at the artwork for their “awesome” exclusive Steelbook edition. Check it out below!
Although Zavvi does ship internationally, domestic fans might want to wait for Best Buy‘s own Steelbook exclusive. Although its cover art has not yet been officially revealed, collectors on the Blu-ray.com Forums have speculated that the domestic version will likely offer a variation on the same design, replacing the “buttons” on the spine with the actual title.
Now playing in theaters, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro. The film has brought in over $633 million at the global box office. The film has become the highest-grossing film of the year domestically with a total of $314 million.
