En Sabah Nur is not only the first mutant, but in fact one of the most powerful in the entire continuity of the “X-Men.” He has abilities such as super strength, near invulnerability, flight, teleportation, energy manipulation, telekinesis (which we saw in the post-credit scene of X-Men: Days of Future Past) and a few more.
ComingSoon.net caught up with Apocalypse himself, Oscar Isaac, and asked the actor whether we’ll be seeing him in a costume or in a motion capture suit on the set of the film, which allowed him to reveal one of Apocalypse’s more bizarre powers will appear in the film.
“(The costume) hasn’t been figured out yet, but one of his major powers is being able to change all the molecules in his body,” the actor said. “So I’ll be changing all the molecules in my body… It’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
In the source material, Apocalypse uses this ability to conform his body to other shapes, sizes, elongate limbs, or adapt it to face extreme conditions/enemy abilities. It’s unclear how this will be used in the film, but let us know your theories in the comments below!
Isaac will appear alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult in the sequel with more names expected to be confirmed shortly. X-Men: Apocalypse is scripted by Simon Kinberg, Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris and is said to be the conclusion of a trilogy started with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past. The film is also set to feature appearances by a number of familiar characters, including younger versions of Cyclops, Phoenix and Storm. Cameras will start rolling on the Bryan Singer directed X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal beginning April, 2015 for a May 27, 2016 release.
