It would appear the tables have turned! Following yesterday’s announcement that Captain America: The Winter Soldier had grabbed 11 Saturn Award nominations, the MTV Movie Award nominees are here and Marvel Studios’ other 2014 film, Guardians of the Galaxy, leads the way with seven total nominations.
“Guardians'” nominations include Movie of the Year, Best Male Performance (Chris Pratt), Best Shirtless Performance (Chris Pratt), Best Duo (Bradley Cooper & Vin Diesel), Best Musical Moment (Chris Pratt), Best Comedic Performance (Chris Pratt), and Best On-Screen Transformation (Zoe Saldana).
Captain America: The Winter Soldier landed two nominations including Best Fight (Chris Evans vs. Sebastian Stan) and Best Kiss (Scarlett Johansson & Chris Evans), while X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 both received one nomination each (Best Villain for Peter Dinklage and Best Kiss for Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone).
