Jeri Ryan is headed to the DC Universe, set to appear on “Arrow” episode 4×02, “The Candidate”
Best known for playing former Borg crewmember 7 of 9 on “Star Trek: Voyager,” Jeri Ryan is headed to the DC Universe! Access Hollywood has the scoop, reporting that Ryan will play a character named Jessica Danforth. Said to be “a friend of the Queen family,” Danforth’s “political ambitions will place her in the crosshairs of a menacing antagonist.” The episode, titled “The Candidate,” is written by Marc Guggenheim and Keto Shimizu and is directed by John Behring. Look for it to air on The CW Wednesday, October 14.
In addition to starring on the last four seasons of “Voyager,” Ryan has played roles on series like “Boston Public,” “The O.C.,” “Leverage” and “Body of Proof”.
“Arrow” stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Katie Cassidy as Dinah “Laurel” Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, John Barrowman as Malcom Merlyn, with Paul Blackthorne as Detective Lance, and the recently announced Echo Kellum as Curtis Holt aka Mr. Terrific, Alexander Calvert as Anarky, and Neal McDonough as big bad Damien Darhk. The series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter.
