Casting Choices for Justice League Dark Revealed?

A new rumor points to Justice League Dark casting hopefuls

Though director Guillermo del Toro says he turned in his script for Dark Universe, or “Justice League Dark,” some time ago, little has been said about the film since then. Plans are still in motion for the rest of the DCEU at large, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad will both be released next year, but no official details on this particular corner has been announced. Now, Latino Review brings some interesting rumors in regard to the film, specifically who Warner Bros. Pictures may be looking to cast in the lead roles.

The site reports that Guillermo del Toro wanted Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman, to play Swamp Thing, a decision the studio is reportedly in agreement with. In regard to John Constantine, the studio is seeking A-list talent for the role with both Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor in the mix. Furthermore, Latino Review speculates that whoever doesn’t book that role may take on the part of Jason Blood, the human which the demon Etrigan is bound too.

For the role of Deadman, WB is reportedly considering a comedic actor and they have an eye toward a hispanic or black actress for the female magician Zatanna. In addition, SPECTRE‘s Monica Bellucci is the reported top choice for the role of Madame Xanadu.

It’s unclear when, or if, production will begin on the film as no director or release date have been officially set. In the meantime, check back here for more updates on Justice League Dark as we learn them.
