Star Wars Box Office Update and More Cast Interviews!

Star Wars box office update and more videos with the cast

Walt Disney Pictures has provided us with an update on the Star Wars box office results so far. Lucasfilm‘s Star Wars: The Force Awakens added $38.1 million domestically and $38.4 million internationally on Wednesday for a global total of $76.5 million for the day. That means the J.J. Abrams-directed film has already earned $363.5 million domestically and $402.4 million overseas, a worldwide gross of $765.9 million! It will continue to dominate the box office over Christmas and doesn’t even open in China until January 9.

While Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to storm the box office and break records, we thought we’d take a look back at some of the video interviews done with the cast before the film’s release. You’ll hear Adam Driver talk about Kylo Ren’s helmet and Gwendolyn Christie discusses what life was like growing up over six-feet tall. She also gracefully dodges a question about whether Captain Phasma will be in Episode VIII (It has since been confirmed that she will be.) John Boyega talks about getting advice from “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson, and Harrison Ford shares his thoughts on Indiana Jones 5 and possibly seeing Indy in the 1970s. In addition, Hot Toys has released images of their Star Wars: The Force Awakens 1/6th scale Finn collectible figure as well as the 1/6th scale Finn and First Order Riot Control Stormtrooper collectible set. The highly-accurate 1/6th scale Finn collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of John Boyega as Finn in the film featuring a newly developed head sculpt, finely tailored outfit, LED light-up lightsaber, detailed weapons, and a hexagonal figure stand with the Resistance’s emblem. The First Order Riot Control Stormtrooper is equipped with sleekly design Stormtrooper armor and helmet, the iconic baton, a riot shield, blaster rifle, and a hexagonal figure stand with the First Order’s emblem.
