Supergirl renewal expected says CBS CEO

Deadline reports that speaking with the Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference today, CBS CEO Les Moonves revealed that he expects a Supergirl renewal for a second season. Check back here for official confirmation when we learn it.

In further Supergirl news, CBS has released the first promo for Supergirl episode 16, which sees the title character turn evil! Titled “Falling,” the March 14 episode is officially described as follows:

“Kara turns on her friends and the citizens of National City after being exposed to Red Kryptonite makes her malicious and dangerous. Also, Cat appears on THE TALK to discuss Supergirl.”

Melissa Benoist leads the cast of Supergirl as the title character alongside Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater.
