Spider-Man Homecoming Cast Adds Some Amazing Friends

Laura Harrier and Tony Revolori have both joined the Spider-Man Homecoming cast

There have been two new additions to the Spider-Man Homecoming cast today as both Laura Harrier (One Life to Live) and Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel) have signed on for mystery roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. News of the former star’s involvement arrives via TheWrap with news of the latter breaking via Deadline. The Deadline article reports that Revolori plays another student at Peter Parker’s high school and is not likely to be a villain. Harrier’s role, meanwhile, is said to be “significant.”

“It really is a homecoming,” leading man Tom Holland, told the CinemaCon crowd during the film’s title announcement earlier this week, “because, throughout the movie, Peter is trying to find out who he is and where he belongs in this world.”

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also recently teased that Spider-Man Homecoming will feature characters from throughout the MCU. Fans will get to see Holland’s webslinger interacting with their favorite Marvel superheroes a lot sooner than next summer, however, as Spidey is slated to make his debut in Captain America: Civil War

The Spider-Man Homecoming cast is also set to include Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya as a character by the name of Michelle, while Michael Keaton is said to be in talks to play the film’s villain (or, at least, one of the film’s villains). Homecoming is scripted by Vacation writers and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. It will hit regular theaters and IMAX on July 7, 2017.
