The film is set to feature the voice talents of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Matt Ryan as John Constantine (reprising his role from the NBC series), Camilla Luddington (of Tomb Raider fame) as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, Ray Chase as Jason Blood/Etrigan, with Jerry O’Connell as Superman’s Jerry O’Connell, and Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman. New members of the cast have been revealed as well, including Jeremy Davies as Ritchie, Enrico Colantoni as Felix Faust, Alfred Molina as Destiny and Roger R. Cross as both Swamp Thing and John Stewart.

Directed by Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns) from a story by J.M. DeMatteis and Ernie Altbacker (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) the film (like Batman: The Killing Joke) will be rated ‘R’ upon release.

Justice League Dark will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital in early 2017.

The Justice League Dark made their debut when DC Comics began The New 52 publishing initiative in 2011. A paranormal-leaning super team, the group featured the likes of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Frankenstein, Deadman, Madame Xanadu, and The Phantom Stranger among its ranks.

A live-action feature film of the group has been in development for some time, with the most recent update putting director Doug Liman at the helm of the feature.
