Summer Movies: EW Teases Spider-Man, Transformers and More!

New look at four summer movies, including Spider-Man: Homecoming

EW has today released a look at some of the upcoming summer movies that will be gracing the big screen in the months to come. In the gallery viewer below, you can see teases of Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky alongside franchise sequels Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Transformers: The Last Knight.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales features the return of Johnny Depp as swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow. He headlines the new film alongside Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, Kevin R. McNally, Golshifteh Farahani, David Wenham, Stephen Graham and Geoffrey Rush.

Directed by Norwegian filmmakers Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning (Kon-Tiki), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will debut in theaters on May 26, 2017.

Transformers: The Last Knight, the fifth entry in the big screen franchise, stars Mark Wahlberg, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Laura HaddockJosh Duhamel, Stanley Tucci, Jerrod Carmichael, and Isabela Moner as the film’s female lead, Izabella. Michael Bay returns to the director’s chair for the film, which is written by Iron Man scribes Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). Ian Bryce, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto are producing the sequel.

Transformers: The Last Knight will open in theaters on June 23, 2017.

Spider-Man: Homecoming continues the adventures of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, who made his debut in Captain America: Civil War. He’s joined by Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey, Jr., Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover and Tyne Daly.

Directed by Jon WattsSpider-Man: Homecoming was written by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley, Jon Watts & Christopher Ford, and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers. The film is produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Jeremy Latcham, and Stan Lee.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into theaters on July 7, 2017.

Logan Lucky stars Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Adam Driver, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, Katherine Waterston, Katie Holmes, David Denman, Jack Quaid and Seth MacFarlane. Soderbergh directs the film from a Rebecca Blunt script, with Reid Carolin, Gregory Jacobs and Mark Johnson producing.

Bleecker Street and Fingerprint Releasing will release Logan Lucky on August 18, 2017.
