New Riverdale Photos from the Midseason Premiere and More!

Ahead of the series return later this month, The CW has released photos from the next two episodes of Riverdale including the midseason premiere! Check them out in the gallery below.

Set to return on Wednesday, January 17 on The CW, Riverdale Episode 2.10 is titled “Chapter Twenty-Three: The Blackboard Jungle” and described as follows:

“Tensions mount when the sudden shut down of Southside High forces Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and his fellow serpents to transfer to Riverdale High. Veronica (Camila Mendes) ensures Hiram (Mark Consuelos) and Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) that she’s still on board with their plans for SoDale. Archie (KJ Apa) is conflicted when he is asked to gather some information on Hiram’s suspicious business dealings. Betty (Lili Reinhart) sets out on a quest to find her long-lost brother, Chic (guest star Hart Denton).”

Tim Hunter directed the episode, which was written by Britta Lundin & Brian E. Paterson.

Episode 2.11 of the series will follow on Wednesday, January 24 and is titled “Chapter Twenty-Four: The Wrestler.” It is described as follows:

“Amidst preparations for the town’s annual Picken’s Day festivities, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) interviews Toni’s (guest star Vanessa Morgan) grandfather and learns some shocking details about Riverdale’s history. In an attempt to get closer to Hiram (Mark Consuelos), Archie (KJ Apa) tries out for the Riverdale wrestling team after learning of Hiram’s love of the sport. Meanwhile, Betty (Lili Reinhart) unearths some dark secrets about her brother Chic (guest star Hart Denton), and Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Josie (Ashleigh Murray) clash as they prepare for their Picken’s Day performance.”

Greg Araki directed the episode, which was written by Britta Lundin & Brian E. Paterson.

KJ Apa stars as Archie Andrews in the series along with Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom.

Based on the characters from Archie Comics, Riverdale hails from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with Berlanti Productions, with executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater.
