Into the Spider-Verse Directors Tease Sequel’s Possible Time Jump

Spider-Verse directors tease sequel's possible time jump

It’s been known that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be branching out into sequels, spinoffs, and possibly even TV shows in the near future. Last night at the red carpet before the 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards, the film’s three directors were on hand to talk about what’s in store for Miles Morales’ next big screen adventure.

“We’re gonna start with Miles, we’re gonna cut to two years later, obviously,” Rodney Rothman told Variety, before his co-directors, Peter Ramsey, and Bob Persichetti, looked like they were trying to stop him from revealing too much more.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street, have brought their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
