Spider-Man Learns About the Multiverse in First Far From Home Clip

During an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Academy Award-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal debuted the first official clip from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home. Here, Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck/Mysterio introduces the existence of the multiverse to Peter. You can check out the Far From Home clip on the player below.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever. Furthermore, his personal life inevitably gets in the way.

Confirmed Spider-Man: Far From Home cast include Tom Holland as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Zendaya as “MJ,” and Jacob Batalon as Ned. Marisa Tomei returns as Aunt May, while Jake Gyllenhaal dons the fishbowl to become Mysterio. Other new additions include comedian J.B. Smoove, and Numan Acar (Aladdin) as Dimitri. MCU veterans Samuel L. Jackson (Captain Marvel) and Cobie Smulders also enter Holland’s Spider-Man sequel as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, respectively.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, all returning from Spider-Man: Homecoming. The movie will hit theaters on July 2.
