Warning: The following post contains spoilers for Avengers: Endgame!
Avengers: Endgame got off to a tragic start when it opened with Clint Barton losing his family to Thanos’ snap. The scene was made all the more heartbreaking by the fact that he was about to settle down for a picnic with his wife and children. But let’s face it: even as Clint was practicing archery with his daughter, Lila, we all knew exactly what was about to happen. Now, the Russos have shared a shared a short BTS video taken during the filming of that scene. You can check it out for yourself via Twitter below.

Endgame’s opening scene was first teased in a trailer for the movie that arrived in March. Back then, fans began speculating if Clint was actually training Kate Bishop, who adopted the mantle of Hawkeye herself in Marvel’s comic book universe. It wasn’t until the week of Endgame’s release that a photo posted on Marvel’s press site revealed that this was actually Lila Barton. Sophia Russo, the daughter of Joe Russo, plays Lila in the film. Joe can actually be heard in the video’s background saying “Way to go!” after his daughter almost hits a bullseye.
