The CW just released the first promo for the Supergirl season 4 finale titled “The Quest for Peace.” It’s a reference to the Superman sequel of the same name, in which Jon Cryer played Lex Luthor’s nephew. The final episode airs on May 19. Check out the video below!

The episode is directed by Jesse Warn from a story by Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller and a teleplay by Rob Wright & Derek Simon. Furthermore, its official synopsis reads:
“LEX LUTHOR RETURNS. Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) descends upon Washington, DC and summons Lena (Katie McGrath) and Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong) to the White House. Supergirl realizes she has one last chance to stop Lex and turns to the power of the press to help her.”

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist (Glee) as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott. In addition, Katie McGrath (Merlin) is Lena Luthor, Jess Rath is Brainiac 5, and David Harewood is Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz. Plus Sam Witwer as Agent Liberty, Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves, and Bruce Boxleitner as Vice President Baker.
Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller executive produce Supergirl. Berlanti Productions also produces in association with Warner Bros. Television. It’s based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
