Deathstroke Animated Series Coming to CW Seed

The archenemy of the Teen Titans will get his own animated series on CW Seed, the network’s digital platform. President Mark Pedowitz announced the upcoming animated project centered on the DC character during The CW’s Upfronts presentation.

No more details were offered, so it’s not clear at the moment if actor Manu Bennet, who portrayed the character on The CW’s television series Arrow, will reprise his role and voice his character. It’s a possibility however as CW Seed’s Vixen and The Ray animated series were voiced by the same actors who played their live-action versions.

In the comics, the character made his debut as Deathstroke the Terminator in The New Teen Titans #2 back in December 1980. Thanks to his popularity, the fan-favorite assassin got his own series in the 90s and today. Deathstroke has appeared in several films and television shows throughout the character’s history, with Joe Manganiello bringing the character to life in a brief cameo in 2017’s Justice League. More recently, Deathstroke will be introduced on the live-action DC Universe series Titans, where he will be played by Esai Morales.
