Power Rangers Being Rebooted, According to Actor Dacre Montgomery

When the Power Rangers hit theaters with a sleek, big-budget production back in 2017, it failed to resonate with audiences or critics. Now, with a new Power Rangers film being discussed, it appears that it’ll be a complete reboot of the property.

During a Reddit AMAStranger Things actor Dacre Montgomery, who played Jason/Red Ranger in the 2017 film, said that he and his former castmates aren’t expecting to suit up for this new cinematic outing.

I think there is a movie in the works but it’s not with me and the cast, Montgomery said. “So, yes — but not with us.”

That Power Rangers film followed five ordinary high school kids who became something extraordinary when they learned that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – was on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, the heroes discovered that they are the only ones who could save the planet.
