Iron Man has cheated death countless times, but is he even Tony Stark anymore? Within the recent issues of Tony Stark: Iron Man, Tony has come to realize that there’s nothing left of his original human body. Essentially, he’s a digital copy of himself in the flesh. At the same time, a burgeoning Artificial Intelligence rights movement is flourishing, and Tony’s managed to alienate both the A.I.’s and the general public.
Unfortunately, Ultron has picked this moment to strike at Tony by fusing Vision and Wonder Man into a single being. While Tony dealt with that crisis, his romantic partner, the Wasp, was kidnapped by Ultron. Now, Janet van Dyne may be the next human to be merged with a machine.
In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Tony Stark: Iron Man #16, Dan Slott and Jib Zub with artist Valerio Schiti show us Tony’s unsuccessful attempt to split Vision and Wonder Man apart. Meanwhile, Tony’s chief of security, Bethany Cabe, has a plan to get intel from Machine Man. But first, she’s gonna have to go undercover as a robot.
