In The CW’s Black Lightning, things are taking a wrong turn for Jefferson and his family. Now that the Markovian have invaded Freeland, the hero has to do what it takes to save not only his loved ones but also the whole city. And in doing so, he has to get as much help as he can. Even if this means making an alliance with the A.S.A. or the mysterious Lady Eve.
The fresh-released batch of promotional photos released by the television network also features a closer look at Wayne Brady’s Gravedigger. Fans recently discovered his origin story, which is a sort of Captain America experiment that went in the wrong direction. And it seems that there is only one obstacle left for Gravedigger on the path for his vengeance: Black Lightning.

Oz Scott directed the episode written by Pat Charles. The synopsis of “The Book of War: Chapter Two” reads as follows:
“After learning that Gravedigger (guest star Wayne Brady) and the Markovians are coming to attack Freeland, the Pierce family prepares for war. Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Christine Adams, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star.”
Based on the characters from DC, Black Lightning is from Berlanti Productions and Akil Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash), Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil (Being Mary Jane, The Game, Girlfriends), as well as Charles D. Holland (JAG) and Sarah Schechter (Arrow, The Flash).
