The CW has released a brand new promo for the upcoming episode of Supergirl. In the latest episode of the series, Dreamer had to step up and defend her community from hate. But part of the episode dealt also with the implications of the intersection of technology and society as Alex went for a trip into virtual National City.
It seems that the former director of the D.E.O enjoyed a little bit too much the virtual reality experience. In just a few days, she will wear the contact lenses made by Obsidian Platinum to break from her daily routine once again. Kara and the rest of the team will have to do what it takes to save her adoptive sister from losing herself in the virtual reality.

Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode with story by Rob Wright and teleplay by Jess Kardos & Mariko Tamaki. The official synopsis of “Alex in Wonderland” reads as follows:
“Alex (Chyler Leigh) uses a pair of Obsidian contact lenses to visit a virtual National City where she takes on a whole new persona. Meanwhile, Kelly (Azie Tesfai) helps William (Staz Nair) investigate Lex. Kara (Melissa Benoist) deals with difficult news.”
Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series boasts executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, as well as Robert Rovner, and Jessica Queller. Moreover, Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, produces Supergirl.
