Fly With Rebels or the Empire in EA’s Official Star Wars: Squadrons Trailer

If you ever wanted to fly a starfighter and become the best pilot in the whole galaxy, like Luke Skywalker, EA is granting your wish in Star Wars: Squadrons. The brand new video game will pit teams of starfighter pilots against each other in some thrilling intergalactic battles. In Squadrons, players will be able to pick a side between the evil Empire and the Rebellion, and compete in intense 5v5 multiplayer while flying across the universe. The game also features a single-player Star Wars story, which covers a crucial campaign near the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War, roughly during the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

EA has just released an official Star Wars: Squadrons trailer featuring some game engine footage and explaining the story briefly. You can watch it in the player below.

“In a fateful campaign set near the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War, learn what it means to be a pilot in a thrilling Star Wars single-player story. The New Republic fights for freedom. The Empire demands order. We need you to join the galaxy’s finest.”

Star Wars: Squadrons will be available starting October 2 on all major platforms. Preorders are available at many sites right now.
