Ray Fisher Retracts His Support For Joss Whedon’s Justice League Cut

Next year, Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League will finally see the light of day. During the production of the film, Snyder and his wife, Deborah, stepped aside from Justice League to deal with a family tragedy. Joss Whedon was brought in to finish Justice League, and he also reshot a significant portion of the film. At the time, the Justice League cast was publicly supportive of Whedon. However, at least one cast member is retracting that support.

Via Heroic Hollywood, Ray Fisher, who portrayed Cyborg/Vic Stone, shared a clip from his appearance at Comic-Con. In the video, Fisher told the crowd that  “Joss is a great guy and Zack picked a good person to come in and clean up and finish up for him.” But in his Tweet, Fisher “forcefully” took back his statement.

It’s unclear why Fisher decided to retract his words now. But Fisher does seem unenthusiastic within his shared video.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will arrive on HBO Max in 2021.
