Joe Manganiello is Back as Deathstroke For Zack Snyder’s Justice League

The set of Zack Snyder’s Justice League reshoots just got a lot more deadly. According to Collider, Snyder has recruited Joe Manganiello to shoot additional scenes as Deathstroke in order to complete his original vision for the DC team-up film.

Manganiello’s character originally appeared in the theatrical cut of Justice League alongside Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor. In a post-credits scene, Deathstroke visited Superman’s archnemesis on a yacht. The two then discussed forming their own team of supervillains. Manganiello was also supposed to appear in The Batman when Ben Affleck was still involved.

After the Snyder Cut was first announced, Manganiello teased that the “original” post-credits scene would be restored to the film. But when Collider asked him about the project while promoting Archenemy earlier this month, he could neither confirm nor deny his involvement. Fans also spotted Manganiello on his Twitch channel earlier this week sporting a lighter hair color reminiscent of his Slade Wilson look.

Snyder is currently filming new scenes for his version of the movie in Los Angeles. Earlier this week, word broke that Jared Leto will also reprise his Suicide Squad role as the Joker for the ongoing reshoots. Snyder also recruited Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Amber Heard to film new scenes.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will hit HBO Max as a four-episode miniseries in 2021.
