The Boys Screw Up Their Lines in Season 2 Blooper Reel

It’s going to be a while before The Boys returns to Amazon Prime with new episodes. But in the meantime, the streaming service just released a fun little bonus feature for anyone who’s finished streaming the latest season, which concluded earlier this month. Amazon has cut together a gag reel containing nearly four minutes of behind-the-scenes shenanigans, proving that not even the most stone-faced actors are immune to the occasional slip-up. You can check out the bloopers below.

Season 2 included several scenes where The Homelander guzzles milk in ways that probably required multiple takes to get right. Some of these appear in the video, where Anthony Starr nearly chokes while helping himself to a drink. Starr excels at playing The Seven’s leader as a psychopathic force to be reckoned with. However, it’s good to know that the actor seems like a genuine sweetheart in real life. In other standout moments, he’s seen flubbing his lines during Translucent’s funeral and while filming a P.S.A. to show kids what to do if a supervillain attacks their school.

But Starr doesn’t get to have all the fun. Other highlights include Jessie T. Usher (A-Train) getting upstaged by a bee, Laz Alonzo (Mother’s Milk) confusing Black Noir with Jack Black, and Karl Urban (Butcher) telling a leaf to f*** off. There’s even a moment that leaves us wanting a spinoff where Butcher moonlights as a Postmates delivery man.

The Boys season 3 will begin production in early 2021, with the new episodes dropping sometime later in the year.
