Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley Won’t Be Silenced in Chaos Walking Trailer

The long-delayed Chaos Walking has finally debuted a trailer. The movie which started shooting back in 2017 but will debut next year after some reshoots in 2019, introduces Daisy Ridley’s Viola, a girl who crashes in a spaceship on a mysterious planet. Viola soon meets Tom Holland’s Todd and discovers that people can’t hide what they are thinking on that planet. A dark force called the Noise makes the people’s thoughts take physical form. Additionally, she apparently is the only woman on the whole planet. Shortly after her arrival, Viola and Todd will have to fight side by side for their lives.

Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) directed the movie written by Patrick Ness together with Christopher Ford. The official synopsis of Chaos Walking reads:

“In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by ‘the Noise’ – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.”

The Chaos Walking cast also features Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, Kurt Sutter, and David Oyelowo. Chaos Walking should hit the theaters somewhere in 2021.
