The big day for Marvel fans arrived last Friday when WandaVision hit Disney+. This also marked the beginning of the brand new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is expected to offer amazing new adventures. Unlike its usual practice, Disney released two episodes from the show on the same date. The first installments in the series introduced the new life of Wanda Maximoff and Vision. Fans had the chance to see that they are indeed an unusual couple, and their lives are far from boring.
Shortly after the official premiere, Marvel also debuted two promotional posters. In vintage-style ads, Wanda and Vision are marketing television sets. “A signal so smooth… you’ll think you’re in a dream,” reads the caption of the one featuring Wanda. About that signal: it’s a reference to the voice that was calling Wanda incessantly in Episode 2. The poster also plays with the blurred lines between dreams and reality.

“This new signal is made in the shade,” reads the caption of the second poster, the one with Vision. Those who have seen the first episodes already know that someone is watching the titular characters’ lives on a television screen. The reference is most likely to that shadowy someone lurking in the dark.
The first two episodes of WandaVision are available on Disney+. The third one will debut on Friday, Jan. 22.
