Jefferson Goes on a Special Mission in Black Lightning Episode 4.05 Stills

The CW’s Black Lightning is proceeding towards the series finale, expected to go down a few weeks from now. The latest installment saw the hero confronting Tobias about his plans for his family. The episode also cast a shadow on Jennifer’s future as Lightning after she absorbed too much energy and apparently exploding into particles. In the meantime, Gambi discovered the existence of a mysterious renewable energy source, thanks to Lauren.

The CW has debuted a brand-new set of promotional photos for the upcoming fifth episode of Black Lightning Season 4. Besides a closer look at the star, the set features plenty of photos with Gambi. Judging from the photos and the synopsis, Jefferson might have to explore that mysterious energy source mentioned by Lauren.

Bille Woodruff directed the episode written by Adam Giaudrone. The official synopsis for “The Book of Ruin: Chapter One” reads:

“TRUTH – Gambi (James Remar) supports Black Lightning (Cress Williams) as he departs on a special mission. Meanwhile, Grace (Chantal Thuy) tries to persuade Anissa (Nafessa Williams) to let her guard down. China Anne McClain, Christine Adams, Marvin Jones III, and Jordan Calloway also star.”

The next episode of Black Lightning will air on The CW on March 8.
