New Sweet Tooth Poster Teases the Beginning of Gus’ Journey

Netflix is unleashing some new Sweet Tooth-y goodness ahead of the show’s premiere in just a few weeks. The streaming service has just dropped the first official teaser poster for its upcoming adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s acclaimed comic book series. You can check it out for yourself below.

Set 10 years after a mysterious event known as “The Great Crumble” gave way to a new race of human-animal hybrids, Sweet Tooth mainly centers on Gus, a young boy with deer-like features. Gus has spent his entire life living in seclusion with his father. But when he meets a loner named Tommy Jeppard, he sets out on an adventure to discover the truth behind this strange new world. Gus and Jeppard appear front and center in this new poster, which also highlights the series’ lush post-apocalyptic landscape.

Additionally, the official DC Twitter account has confirmed that a new trailer for the series will debut online tomorrow. Netflix previously released a teaser for the series last month, featuring the gravelly tones of series narrator James Brolin and offering fans their first look at The Great Crumble’s aftermath. Among other details, the preview introduced a few other hybrid creatures and the human militias that hunt them down. Hopefully, the next round of footage will give us more in the way of story beats.

Sweet Tooth premieres on Netflix on June 4.
