In a matter of hours, Marvel Studios will release the What If…? animated series on Disney+. To pump up the fans, the producers have debuted a couple of shiny new posters. The first one is all about Captain Carter, the feminine and British version of Captain America. (Marvel also changed the Captain America Twitter to Captain Carter as a tie-in.) It won’t be long before Peggy Carter will take the floor and lead the Resistance against the Nazis during World War II, in the first episode of the upcoming Disney+ animated series. The second poster features Steve Rogers’ Hydra Stomper, basically an early version of the Iron Man suit.

What If…? is an animated anthology series that looks at alternate histories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What if things happened differently? If Peggy Carter got the super-soldier serum rather than Steve Rogers, for example? Or somebody other than Peter Quill became Star-Lord? Uatu the Watcher, played by Jeffrey Wright, will guide us through these possibilities, and many of the MCU’s stars return to voice their characters. The original What If…? comic book series debuted in 1977, resulting in 13 series and several stand-alones.
What If…? will premiere on Disney+ next Wednesday, Aug. 11. New episodes will follow each Wednesday. In the meantime, you can check out the second new What If…? poster here below.
