Charlie Cox Reflects on Echo Cameo, Addresses Possible Reunion With Alaqua Cox

Daredevil actor Charlie Cox is ready to reunite with his Echo co-star Alaqua Cox in another Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

During Cox’s panel at the recent Fan Expo Chicago, the MCU actor addressed his cameo in the 2024 Disney+ miniseries, admitting that he would like another opportunity to work alongside Cox’s Maya Lopez since they didn’t get to spend much time together in Echo.

“Yeah, so I have very little to do on that show if you’ve seen it. I think I’m in two scenes, and one of them is that fight scene, so I did not get a huge amount of time in,” he said. “She’s amazing. She was a phenomenal performer and played that character beautifully. I know that Vincent [D’Onofrio] speaks so highly of her and the whole experience of that show. So I hope we get some more stuff together in the future, really, especially as we share the same surname!”

Cox first appeared as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in all three seasons of Netflix’s Daredevil series and the crossover miniseries The Defenders alongside Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. He then appeared in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, serving as Peter Parker’s lawyer. Following his return in No Way Home, Cox appeared as The Man Without Fear in the Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, sporting a mustard and ketchup-colored costume and striking up a relationship with the titular Jade Giantess.

Where will Charlie Cox’s Daredevil appear next in the MCU?

Echo marks the latest appearance for Cox’s Man Without Fear; however, fans won’t have to wait too long to see the character return to the small screen. The actor has also wrapped production on his next two MCU appearances — Daredevil: Born Again and the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Depending on when Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which is currently undated, releases, it may end up being Cox’s next MCU project. As for Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios has already announced a March 2025 premiere window for the hotly-anticipated live-action series.
