Although Batman showed up in Titans‘ season 1 finale, viewers never got to see his face. But it looks like DC Universe subscribers will finally get to witness the Dark Knight in all of his glory when the series returns later this year. Deadline is reporting that Iain Glen as Batman has joined the cast of the show’s second season.
Glen has spent the last eight years playing Jorah Mormont on Game of Thrones. Glen is also known for starring in the last three Resident Evil films as Dr. Isaacs. His other screen credits include Downton Abbey, Kick-Ass 2, and Laura Croft: Tomb Raider.

Titans concluded its first season in December with Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) appearing to kill Batman after his former mentor seemed to go on a violent rampage. However, this was later revealed to be nothing more than a hallucination. It’s possible that the new episodes will have the former Robin coming to grips with this experience by reconnecting with Wayne.
The second season will also feature the introduction of Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Chella Man as Jericho, and Chelsea T. Zhang as Ravager. Additionally, Esai Morales will menace the team as Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke. With Batman and Deathstroke joining the cast, we might get to see the live-action showdown between the two characters that was originally promised in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
Titans season 2 will premiere later this year.
