Avengers: Endgame may have set up the new adventures of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but they may not be the only MCU stars in their new Disney+ series. Deadline is reporting that Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp are in negotiations to join the six episode miniseries as well.
VanCamp portrayed Agent Sharon Carter, the niece of Peggy Carter, in Captain America: The Winter Solider and Captain America: Civil War. Bruhl made his MCU debut in Civil War as Helmut Zemo; a grieving Sokovian soldier turned terrorist mastermind. Zemo successfully framed the Winter Soldier and pit the Avengers against each other before he was exposed. In the comics, Baron Zemo is a frequent enemy of Cap, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier. As for Sharon Carter, she’s one of Cap’s love interests and partners in the comic. But the MCU is going in a different direction with her character.

Deadline is also reporting that director Kari Skogland has signed on to helm the six episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Disney+ is reportedly planning to debut the miniseries in August 2020, which means production may begin this year.
Additionally, the report notes that the miniseries will follow up on Falcon’s post-Endgame status quo. However, Marvel Studios declined to comment about that part of the story.
