Castlevania Season 3 Still Coming, But Not Debuting Next Week

UPDATE: The tweet in question has been removed. The third season of Castlevania is still on the way, but will not debut on December 1. The original story is below.

It looks like Castlevania fans will ring in the holiday season with Dracula and company. A new announcement on one of Netflix’s social channels confirms that the third season of the animated series is due next week.

According to the tweet from the Netflix Nordic account (also posted below), the third season will arrive on December 1. There hasn’t been an announcement on other Netflix channels yet. However, there should be very soon, since the season is ready to go.

Based on the classic video game series, the animated Castlevania premiered back in 2017. The second season followed in October 2018, and added eight episodes to the four from the first season. It’s unclear how many episodes season 3 will have, as official details aren’t available yet.

Adi Shankar serves as executive producer, alongside Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Warren Ellis, who also writes the episodes for the series.

With the series premiere just a week away, it shouldn’t be long before Netflix begins hyping its arrival. It’s possible a new trailer will debut over the next few days, to get fans excited. Once it’s available, it’ll be posted here.
